Creating & Modifying Holiday Calendars

Availability schedules reference a Holiday Calendar to remove or block out unavailable times.

Modules become active or create available time slots by referencing an assigned Availability schedule. Ensure that appointments are not booked and that phone calls or text messages are not sent when offices are closed by creating a default Holiday Calendar that can be associated with client Availability schedules.

Time off can also be managed by the Company Admin assigned to the account. Client-specific holiday calendars can also be synced from third-party calendars such as Google or Outlook.

Multiple holidays can be added to a Holiday Calendar allowing the user to easily and quickly associate Availability schedules with routine days off. Default Holiday Calendars are created and managed by the partner though users with the Company Admin role may also add time off, holidays, or sync a third-party calendar. 



Create a Holiday Calendar

  1. Log in to the Dashboard.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Settings tab on the side menu, then click Holidays.
  3. The Calendar Holidays screen opens.
  4. Click the Create Holiday button.
  5. The Holiday Details form expands.
  6. Enter each holiday using the input descriptions below.
    1. Title: A unique title identifies the holidays or type of holidays included in the calendar. Example: Federal Holidays.
    2. Year: Select the year in which the holiday occurs. If the holiday repeats each year, select "Without year."
    3. Month: Choose the month from the drop-down in which the holiday occurs.
    4. Day off:
      1. Day: Allows the user to choose the exact date of a month the holiday occurs in the subsequent drop-down menu. Example: In the United States, Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th regardless of which day of the week the 4th falls.
      2. Week Day: Allows the user to choose the day of the week and in which week of the month that a holiday occurs in the subsequent drop-down menus. Example: In the United States, Labor Day is observed on the first Monday of September. 
  7. Add more holidays to the calendar by clicking the Add holiday button. 
  8. Once all holidays have been added, click the Save changes button to save the holiday calendar.
To add holidays to a different calendar, click the Save changes button then the Create Holiday button to create a new Holiday Calendar. 

Delete a Holiday or Holiday Calendar

  1. Log in to the Dashboard.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Settings tab on the side menu, then click Holidays.
  3. The Calendar Holidays screen opens.
  4. Select the Holiday calendar to be deleted or modified.
  5. The Holiday Details page opens.
  6. Click the Edit button at the bottom right of the page.
  7. Remove a holiday or calendar. 
  8. Delete a holiday from the calendar by clicking the Delete button to the left of the holiday row, then click the Save button at the bottom right of the page. Note: If the same holiday appears in multiple calendars, the holiday will need to be deleted from each calendar. Removing the holiday from one calendar does not remove the holiday in other calendars.


Modify a Holiday

  1. Log in to the Dashboard.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Settings tab on the side menu, then click Holidays.
  3. The Calendar Holidays screen opens.
  4. Select the Holiday calendar to be modified. 
  5. The Holiday Details page opens.
  6. Click the Edit button at the bottom right of the page.
  7. Adjust the holiday as needed.
    1. Modify: Update or change the holiday record by starting with Step 6 in the Create a Holiday Calendar section above. 
    2. Delete: Remove a holiday from the calendar by clicking the Delete button to the left of the holiday row or record.
  8. Click the Save button at the bottom right of the page.

If the same holiday appears in each calendar, each calendar will need to be updated. Updating the holiday in one calendar does not update the holiday in other calendars.
