Offer Duration and Paths

Limit when and where offers appear by creating offer start dates, offer end dates, and website paths.

Set Offer Start and End Dates

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab in the navigation menu, then click Spotlight.™
  3. The Spotlight™ page opens in the main window.
    1. For new offers, follow the steps in this article first, then skip to Step 6.
    2. For current offers, continue to Step 4.
  4. Scroll to and locate the offer to be modified, then left-click on the pencil icon associated with the offer to open the Spotlight™ editor.
  5. On the Spotlight™ editor screen, scroll to the Offer Duration section.
  6. Left-click on the calendar icon in the Start Date field and choose a date from the calendar that appears. This is the date the offer will begin to appear on the website.
    1. Year: Choose the year by clicking the downward pointing arrow to the right of the year displayed.
    2. Month: Choose the month by clicking on the forward and backward arrows at the top right of the calendar.
    3. Date: Choose the day by left-clicking the day of the month on the calendar.
  7. Left-click the calendar icon in the End Date field and choose a date from the calendar that appears. This is the last date an offer is available and should appear on the website. The offer will no longer display after this date. Note: If no offer is active after the end date has passed, the Spotlight™ app will not be displayed on the company website. Consider setting a generic offer to ensure the app is always displayed.
    1. Year: Choose the year by clicking the downward pointing arrow to the right of the year displayed.
    2. Month: Choose the month by clicking on the forward and backward arrows at the top right of the calendar.
    3. Date: Choose the day by left-clicking the day of the month on the calendar.
  8. If an offer should display on all pages of the website, click Save. If an offer should only appear on specific pages, view the steps below in How to limit which pages display an offer.


If an offer has expired and there is no other offer active, the Spotlight™ module will no longer be displayed on the website though it is still an active app.

If an offer has an end date listed, consider creating a generic offer (example: Ask about our specials!) to start the day after an offer is set to expire.

Limit Which Pages Display an Offer

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab in the navigation menu, then click Spotlight™. 
  3. The Spotlight™ screen opens in the main window.
    1. For new offers, follow the steps in this article first, then skip to Step 7.
    2. For current offers, continue to Step 4.
  4. Scroll to and locate the offer to be modified, then left-click the pencil icon associated with the offer to open the Spotlight™ editor screen.
  5. On the Spotlight™ editor screen, scroll to the section below the Offer Duration section labeled Display on specific pages.
  6. To limit where the offer appears on a website, left-click the On/Off toggle to the right of Display on specific pages. Adding paths will set this offer to only display on specific site pages. View the video below to see it in action! 
  7. Each path corresponds with a webpage where the offer will be displayed. For example: If the offer only appears on a specials page (https://www.mywebsite.com/specialspage/), enter /specialspage/ in the path filter. Note: Both forward slashes must be included.
  8. Click the plus sign (+) to add multiple paths. The offer will appear on each site added to the list.
  9. Click Save.
