Onboarding Process

Agency Super Admins have the ability to create new company accounts in the dashboard by following the steps in the Company Settings articles or by providing a link or URL to the client to complete the setup on their own.

If assistance is needed or if an error occurs while creating the user or company, please reach out to your account manager or our Support team. Provide the team with the details used in the form and any error messages received.

After logging into the dashboard, the Agency Super Admin can manually create a new company by clicking the Companies tab then the New Company button. A pop-up appears. The pop-up provides the Agency Super Admin the option to email an onboarding link directly to the client allowing the client the ability to complete the company's creation. Alternatively, the Agency Super Admin may manually create the clients' user and company accounts by clicking the Create a new company button. This pop-up is only available when signed into a Partner.


Invite Email

Enter a client's email address then click the Send button. This sends an onboarding invitation to the client. The client receives a welcome email. The email includes a link to complete the onboarding process. The client completes the setup process without the assistance of the Partner. If the client needs assistance, they may reach out to the Partner or follow the steps in this onboarding article. Only one email address can be included in the email field at a time.

The invitation link received by the client is specific to the Partner. Any client onboarded using the invitation link will automatically be associated with the Partner.

User Login Credentials

Clicking the Set Up Company button in the invite email delivers the client to the following screen to begin the User and Company creation. The following screen greets the client. Completing this form creates a user with the role of Company Administrator and associates the user with the company in the dashboard.

All fields are required.



Click continue to proceed to the next step of the onboarding process.

Company Info


On the Company Info screen, the client adds their company's details, such as the company name, address, time zone, and the reply-to address to be associated with any emails sent from the dashboard.

The full website URL is required. Example: https://www.companyname.com.





Clients can keep track of where they are in the setup by viewing the progression steps on the left of the screen. There are four steps in the initial user and company creation or onboarding: Credentials (user account creation), Company Info (company details and creation), Enable SMS (optional text messaging through the dashboard), Enable Application (insert HTML tag on webpages to display apps). 

Click continue to proceed to the next step of the onboarding process.

Enable SMS

If enabled, customers whom opt-in can receive text messages from the client. This allows the client to send and receive SMS text messages from customers. Clients can update customers regarding offers or product updates and availability.

If text messaging is not offered, customers can not opt-in to receiving SMS messages from the client nor can the client contact the customer by SMS text messages.

This can be changed later.

Enable text messaging by clicking the Enable an SMS Number button. A random Twilio number will be assigned to the company. Text messaging is optional and may be enabled later. Text messaging can only be done through the dashboard once user consent has been obtained. User consent is specific to the Twilio phone number in the dashboard and can not be transferred to another phone number or messaging platform. 

A random number is assigned to the company. Specific area codes can not be requested or guaranteed.

Skip this step or enable text messaging later by clicking the Continue without text messaging link. 

Embed Widget

The client will need to place the application code on each page of the company website.

Do not modify the application code in any way.

Access the application code later in the Application Code section within the Custom Color of the Behaviors & Styles tab.

The application code may be added at a later time by clicking the I'll do this later link and copying the code from the Application Code section of the platform.


Invite Team

At the end of the onboarding process, the client can invite additional users or employees to join and manage the company's dashboard. Each user will be given the Company Administrator role. To add more users later, contact Support for assistance.

Click Send Invite once all employees have been added. A user creation invite will be sent to each email address and will automatically assign the users to the company's dashboard. The client will be delivered to their new dashboard.
