Text Us Now Settings

Communicate directly with customers through SMS messaging.

Text Us Now (Video)




Activate or Deactivate Text Us Now

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab in the navigation menu, then click Text Us Now.
  3. The Text Us Now app opens.
    1. Activate Text Us Now
      1. Click the Active toggle so that it displays the word "Active" and the switch is illuminated in green.
      2. On the side navigation menu, click Behaviors & Styles then Custom Color.
      3. Scroll down to the App Order section and confirm that Text Us Now appears in the Selected Apps column.
      4. If Text Us Now appears in the Available Apps column, click the Edit button at the bottom of the screen.
      5. Click and hold the Text Us Now app with the mouse while dragging the app to the Selected Apps column.
      6. Release the mouse-click to drop the app in the Selected Column. To adjust the order in which the apps appear, see this page.
      7. Click the Save button at the bottom right of the page. Text Us Now will display on the company website on the dates and times selected on the referenced availability schedule.
    2. Deactivate Text Us Now
      1. Click the Active toggle so that it displays the word "Inactive" and the switch appears white.
        1. On the side navigation menu, click Behaviors & Styles then Custom Color.
        2. Scroll down to the App Order section and confirm that Text Us Now appears in the Available Apps column.
        3. If Text Us Now appears in the Selected Apps column, click the Edit button at the bottom of the screen.
        4. Click and hold the Text Us Now app with the mouse while dragging the app to the Available Apps column.
        5. Release the mouse-click to drop the app in the Available Column. To adjust the order in which the apps appear, see this page.
        6. Click the Save button at the bottom right of the page. Text Us Now will no longer be displayed on the company website.




Set the Time and Day for Text Us Now Availability

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab in the navigation menu, then click Text Us Now.
  3. The Text Us Now app opens.
  4. Select the Availability schedule which the app should reference from the Schedule drop-down. This may be similar to the Schedule Genie Availability schedule. To create a new Availability schedule, see this page.
  5. Click the Save button at the bottom right of the screen.
Team members will need access to the dashboard to respond to messages.

We do not recommend setting a 24-hour schedule or allowing customers to send text messages when the office is closed as customers often expect a quick response to a text message.
 


Change the Text Displayed on the Application

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab on the side menu, then click Text Us Now.
  3. The Text Us Now app opens.
  4. Type a unique call to action in the Call to Action field. Example: Text Us Now!
  5. Click the Save button on the bottom right of the screen.





View the Company's SMS Number

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab in the navigation menu, then click Text Us Now.
  3. The Text Us Now app opens.
  4. The company's Twilio SMS number is displayed in the Twilio SMS Number field. This number can not be edited by the user.

Or

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Company tab in the navigation menu, then click Settings.
  3. The Company Details page opens.
  4. Scroll down to the Provisioned SMS Number(s) section. 
  5. The company's Twilio SMS number is displayed in the Full Number field. This number can not be edited by the user.

A random SMS number will be assigned. Area or Zip Code preferences can not be provided.




Create an Automated Message to be sent to a Customer

  1. Log in to the platform.
  2. Scroll down to and click the Apps tab in the navigation menu, then click Text Us Now.
  3. The Text Us Now app opens.
  4. Type a unique message to be automatically sent to customers after interacting with the company using the Text Us Now app in the Auto-response message field. This message allows the team to obtain information from the customer before sending a custom message.
  5. Place a checkmark in the Send auto-response message (if set) checkbox to send this message instead of the dashboard's default text message.
  6. Click the Save button on the bottom right of the page.
